West Sussex County Council Fire and Rescue
Contract Value: £1,200,000
Working with local surveyors selected by the council, our project management team were appointed to alter, refurbish and extend an existing industrial unit within Chichester's city centre for West Sussex County Council's Fire and Rescue Services.
This was a sustainable development, converting a building that was previously empty and one that had reached the end of its useful life; it also required substantial repairs and refurbishment.
The new extension was a sympathetic steel frame construction with powder coated cladding and thermally efficient windows.
Key successes of the project were:-
-
The safe dismantling of the existing steel portal frame
-
Installing new lifting equipment to suit the requirements of the WSCC vehicle workshop
-
Completing the project on time and to budget
St Peter and St James Hospice
Contract Value: £480,000
We fully understood the need to carry out this major extension and refurbishment works on programme, ensuring the building remained fully operational at all times. This required sympathetic site management, and construction programming to meet the clients, patients and their visitors needs.
When working in such a compassionate environment our primary aim was to ensure that whatever work we carried out did not impact upon the residents.
