Would you believe the building on the right is a new build!

At Boomerang Kids we constructed this large new building at their existing facility, significantly increasing their teaching, welfare, and play areas.

Emphasis on continuing the look of the existing barn within the new construction was of the highest priority and second only to ensuring the safety of its children, teachers and visitors during the construction phase.

Key successes of this project were:

  • utilising local craftspeople

  • installation of purpose made joinery, oak cladding and handmade peg tile roof

  • landscaping to the grounds and fitting new child friendly fencing

This new church hall is set in the centre of a mature woodland and adjacent to a local school. This required sympathetic site management and construction programming.

The new hall was a structural steel frame built on pile foundations, with SIPS (structurally insulated panel system) to the walls and roof.

Key successes of this project were:

  • Accommodating all requests from the church not to make noise or have deliveries during church and/or funeral services

  • Working closely with the council's TPO officer for our works under the canopy of the trees to protect the root systems

  • Ensuring the site agent accompanied all lorries through the school grounds together with a banksman on foot
